The Ad Hoc and Special Committee of the Assembly of the Republic formed to discuss the European Union Harmonization Draft Laws completed the second discussion of the Municipalities (Amendment) Bill.
The Ad Hoc and Special Committee of the Assembly of the Republic to Discuss the European Union Harmonization Draft Laws convened today at 11.00 am.
The Committee completed the second discussion of the Municipalities (Amendment) Draft Law on its agenda today and passed the committee.
According to the information given by the Parliament, the third reading of the Bill will be held before the General Assembly on Monday, June 12.
The purpose of the aforementioned Municipalities (Amendment) Draft Law is to change the words ’municipal market’ in the relevant paragraphs of Articles 31, 84 and 94 of the Law on Municipalities to ’market“ and to change the words ”municipal market“ in the relevant paragraphs of Articles 31, 84 and 94 of the Law on Municipalities to ”market" in parallel with the Law on Market Stores, which was published in the Official Gazette on 22.3.2023 and entered into force, and to charge the Weighing and Weighing fee at the same rate in parallel with the fee foreseen in the Market Stores Law.
An amendment was also made to Articles 96 and 99 of the Law on Municipalities, which will allow municipalities to construct ’wastewater treatment plants and sewers’, which are important for the environment and public health and need to be constructed urgently, and to collect contribution fees in this regard. In order to prevent the pollution that may be created in rapidly developing regions, especially in our seas, by building houses, in order to prevent the pollution that may be created in our seas, both the authority to give preliminary permission to the municipalities for the construction of wastewater treatment plants and sewage infrastructure and the contribution fee up to three times the minimum wage will be taken in the sales contracts to the title deed.
